How to Change Your Expensify Workspace Plan
This article applies to both New Expensify and Expensify Classic. If you’re the billing owner, you can switch your workspace between the Collect and Control plans based on your team’s needs.
Who Can Change the Expensify Workspace Plan
Only the billing owner can change the workspace plan.
How to Change Your Workspace Plan in New Expensify
- Use the navigation tabs (on the left on web, on the bottom on mobile) to go to Account > Subscription.
- Click Explore all plans.
- Choose the plan that fits your needs.
How to Change Your Workspace Plan in Expensify Classic
Web:
- Go to Settings > Workspaces > [Workspace Name].
- Click Overview and select Switch under your desired plan.
Mobile:
- Open the Expensify app.
- Go to Settings > Workspaces > [Workspace Name] > Current Plan > Switch.
FAQ
Will I be charged for my subscription even if I don’t use SmartScans?
Yes. Collect and Control subscriptions are prepaid and not usage-based, so you’ll be charged regardless of activity.
Do I need my own subscription if I’m already in a workspace?
No. Workspace members already have unlimited SmartScans. You only need a personal subscription if you leave your company’s workspace and want to continue using Expensify individually.
